At Alameda Business Machines, we make a commitment to you to do everything possible to help you. If we cannot perform the service that you seek, we will always try to refer you to someone else who can accomodate you.

In addition, we offer In-Shop Rush services on all equipment, for an additional $10 per hour over the standard service rate for the particular equipment. Rush times may vary, but are typically completed within 2 days.

Terms

For In-shop work on machines, a $50 deposit is required, unless waived by the service department. This charge is applicable towards the final total cost of repair, and is refundable if we determine that the machine is not worth repair, or the customer declines a revised estimate.

For In-shop work, a $50 charge may apply if we had to spend a significant amount of time disassembling your machine in order to diagnose the problem, regardless if we can fix the machine or not. On-site service is a minimum one hour charge.


   

Computer Services

Although we can service most all types of computers, we strongly suggest that if your computer is still in warranty, you contact the manufacturer for warranty service. We can service most out-of-warranty machines that did not originate in our shop. We do not repair Macintosh computers that are still in warranty.

If you want to know if we can fix your computer, please contact us. This can save you a trip to the shop if we can't.

Special Note on Viruses & Spyware:

Unfortunately, there are many pieces of malicious software out there these days, whether they be viruses, worms, or spyware. ABM provides to our customers Antivirus and Antispyware software to help combat these files, but every once in a while something will wiggle its way past these defenses. While we have capable tools and staff to deal with these kinds of problems, please understand that the procedure can sometimes take several hours. We thank you for your understanding.

Service Contracts

Alameda Business Machines offers Service Contracts to business of all sizes. Service Contracts cover all aspects of your business machine resources, including computers, printers, and technical support, all for one yearly fee. Please contact us for further information.

On-site service is only performed in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Rush services may not always be available. ABM cannot always guarantee actual response time.
