Alameda Business Machines was founded in 1939 by Ralph Archnial, and was originally known as Alameda Typewriter. Alameda Business Machines is currently owned and operated by Michael Woods, who took over in 1979. Alameda Business Machines continued to sell and service typewriters. They then expanded into fax machines, copiers, printers, and word processors. Once the personal computer industry began to bloom in the early eighties, Alameda Business Machines then took an active roll in personal computers. Alameda Business Machines started building and servicing IBM PC's and IBM clones, while continuing to sell, repair, and service all types of office equipment on the retail and commercial levels. Since then, Alameda Business Machines is continuing to stay ahead of the competition by providing quality products and services at extremely competitive prices. Starting in 1994, Alameda Business Machines started providing networking options for Microsoft Windows, as well as all the necessary cables and software support.
